Liang Yaw Wen is a Clinical Psychologist serving Kuala Lumpur (KL) and Selangor, providing psychological assessment, psychotherapy, emotional support sessions, and mental health workshops for both children and adults.

Person-Centred Therapy

Psychodynamic therapty

Clinical Experience & Professional Practice

Yaw Wen received professional training in university counselling centres and the psychiatric department of a local hospital, building strong clinical foundations in working with a wide range of mental health conditions.

Since 2008, he has been actively involved in NGO volunteer work, providing mental health talks, training, helpline, and emotional support services to the community.

His clinical experience includes work with children, adolescents, adults, and families, addressing emotional, behavioural, and psychological concerns.

 

Home Visit Psychological Services

In addition to in-clinic sessions, Yaw Wen provides home visit psychological services in Kuala Lumpur (KL) and Selangor for individuals who are:

  • Experiencing severe emotional distress

  • At risk of suicide

  • Facing mobility or accessibility challenges

  • Unable to attend clinic sessions due to psychological or practical barriers

All home visits are conducted with careful clinical judgment, ethical considerations, and safety protocols.

 

Work with Marginalised & Special Populations

Driven by a belief in justice and equal rights, Yaw Wen has worked with marginalised and vulnerable populations, including:

  • People living with HIV

  • Refugees

  • Natural disaster survivors

His experience in a local university’s student counselling department further expanded his expertise in youth mental health, psychoeducation, and workshop facilitation for primary, secondary, and university students.

Since 2011, Yaw Wen has actively participated in mental health advocacy through media, contributing to public education on mental health and relationships through interviews with:
