EVELYN SOONG
Evelyn is a clinical psychologist with a strong passion to serve underprivileged communities. She has received clinical training within the context of public health care facilities and non-profit organizations (NGO), both of which have granted her the opportunities to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and ages.
Evelyn is trained in the administration of psychological assessments, psychotherapy, and interventions for children, adolescents, and adults with various mental and physical illnesses. These include and are not limited to chronic pain, depression, anxiety, trauma, neurodevelopmental disorders, obsessive-compulsive related disorders, and adjustment related issues. Her therapeutic services are delivered through an array of holistic-based approaches and techniques. Moreover, Evelyn has also had ample experience in designing and conducting trainings, and talks for the community as well as mental health service providers. She strongly believes in the motto of looking beyond the illness to facilitate clients’ recovery.
Evelyn has also been featured in various media coverage, namely NTV7, 8TV, Bfm, MelodyFM, Aifm, News Straits Times, and Free Malaysia Today.
When she is out from work, Evelyn enjoys an array of outdoor sports; she is also a traveller, and food enthusiast.
